To determine the percentage of your electric bill that you'll be eliminating with this system, get a couple of copies of your electric bill, preferably one which represents your summer usage and one which represents your winter usage. Determine how many Kwh you are using for each month, add both bill's Kwh usage together, then divide that number by two to get an average. Another method would be to call your utility company and ask them what your monthly average usage is.

Next divide the 138.3 Kwh that this system produces per month by the monthly average Kwh usage that you arrived at by using the above instructions.

For example if your average monthly consumption is 300 Kwh per month and this system produces approximately 138.3 Kwh per month, divide the 138.3 Kwh that this produces by 300 Kwh and you will find that you have eliminated approximately 46.1 percent of your monthly electric bill by installing this system.

If your monthly average consumption is 500 Kwh per month then divide the 138.3 Kwh that this system produces by 500 Kwh and you will find that you have eliminated approximately 27.7 percent of your monthly electric bill by installing this system.

Remember, because we are in a Net Metering State, if electric rates double like some experts agree will happen in the next few years, then so will the credit that you receive for the power that you produce double. So, by installing a system, you are protected against future rate hikes for the amount of power that you produce !
